The caretaker popped out and gave us a whole history. I don't people stop there often. The inside was filled with Celtic stones, old stained glass, beautiful hundreds of years old handcrafted woodwork. Suzanne sand 'Shall We Gather By the River' at the pulpit, after a little coaxing. The guy was thrilled. He told us this was the church where Fletcher Christian was baptized as an infant. The reason, he explained, was that Christian, he of the mutiny on the Bounty, looked like he was going to die as a baby, so he was baptized on the day of his birth.
Off for one day of museums. So we have a title for the film. The footage shot by Steve is mind blowing and the images by photographer Aad van Vliet are stunning. The intrepid journey is far from being about winning. The characters we met, you will not believe. These are the funniest warmest people this side of a Christopher Guest movie.
